Memberships
The Fiji Psychological Society (FPsS) welcomes individuals with various qualifications and interests in psychology to apply for membership. Membership runs from January 1st to December 31st each year, and there are several categories to choose from depending on your qualifications and involvement in the field of psychology.
Categories
student
- Persons who are currently enrolled (full-time or part-time) in a formal study programme with a major focus in psychology.
friend
- Persons who may possess formal qualifications with a minor/elective focus in psychology and/ or studies and experience in other non-psychology related disciplines that do not satisfy the requirements for either Full or Affiliate membership. An enduring interest in the discipline of Psychology.
affiliate
- Persons with an accredited formal qualification with a major focus in psychology or counselling/related cognate science from a recognised tertiary institution but do not meet the requirements of a FULL member.
full
- Persons who possess at a minimum an accredited undergraduate degree in psychology as part of a three or four-year Bachelor’s level programme or and accredited primary degree in psychology from a recognised tertiary level institution.
A one-time 50% application fee is required for first-time applicants in addition to the annual membership subscription fees.
